MINDFULNESS IN THE FOREST

Leave your phone, camera and daily routine behind and lose yourself in the peace of the present moment as we take a mindful stroll through the beautiful nature of Roslin Glen.

Spending time in nature is known to offer wide ranging benefits for our health and wellbeing. In Japan, “forest bathing” (Shinrin-yoku) is a recognised form of healing, where the medicine is simply being in the forest.

Mindfulness is a powerful tool for being present and engaging fully with each moment as it unfolds – with an attitude of non-judgemental acceptance and compassion.

Mindfulness in The Forest combines these two powerful healing modalities to offer a unique opportunity for experiencing deep insight, rest and nourishment for the soul.

In our 'normal' lives, we think and plan our days. Most of our attention is directed outwards.

During our time in the forest, we will be putting the mind on the back burner and allowing intuition and spontaneity to guide us as we explore the richness of our inner experience.

These walks are gentle and cater for all levels of fitness. Bring water, walking boots (or wellies if it is raining) and a blanket. We will only cancel if the weather is really extreme.

The cost is £15.00 per person. We will meet outside Roslin Chapel at 11.50am.
