The Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) is an 8-week program based on the work of international mindfulness teacher Rob Nairn. It is similar to other mindfulness based courses such as MBSR and MBCT but places a stronger emphasis on cultivating loving kindness and compassion towards ourselves and others.

The course provides a comprehensive introduction to mindfulness - with each lesson building on the one before - and aims to give participants an in-depth personal experience and a solid foundation on which to build an ongoing personal practice.

The course is suitable for complete beginners or for those with an existing meditation practice who wish to deepen their experience or perhaps incorporate the teachings of self-compassion and kindness into their practice.

MBLC is recognised by The UK Network of Mindfulness Based Teachers and meets The Good Practice Guidelines. To review some research on the effects of the 8-week MBLC course, click on the following link:

In a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment, each session is based on a specific theme and includes some theory, one or two guided mindfulness practices and time to share and reflect upon whatever arises in your experience.

Home practice between classes can greatly enhance the benefits derived from the course. Participants receive a course manual, notes and guided audio downloads to support this.
